Five Alaskan Fishing Spots that would Keep Serious Fishermen (And Women) Busy!

If you are looking for new spots to fish, have you ever tried Alaska? This in fact seems to be a preferred location for most of the serious fishing enthusiasts. Five major fishing locations include as follows:
Redoubt Mountain Lodge-It is said that you can catch salmon up to 70 pounds here. Prime selections of Dolly Varden, Artic, Char, and Rainbow Trout have also been harvest here in the past.
Waterfall Resort-Salmon, Halibut, and Ling-cod are some of the prize fish that have been found here. This is one location where sport fishing often takes place as well. This is located near Prince of Wales Island, and can take one of several routes to inlets, beaches, and bays to find the choicest "crop."
Kenai River-Rainbow Trout are often found about mid-way down this body of water. Some of these have weight in at as much as 20 pounds. This section of the river where these prized trout are found is located between Skilak Lake and Bings Landing.
Ship Creek-This popular fishing spot is located in downtown Anchorage. This seems to be one of Alaska's favorite places for anglers, and this is the home of Salmon Durbies which take place between June and August. This location is also known for its plentiful stock of rainbow trout.Prince William Sound (Whittier)-This is a prime location for harvest of halibut and other saltwater fish. This is also the home of Alaska's famous Glacier Cruises. This area is also famous for its wide range of wildlife that makes its home here.
