Why Those "Free Credit Report" Commercials are no Laughing Matter
The new free credit report commercial might be very funny, and very entertaining. I would learn it but I am not much of a rapper, so I probably would instead prefer to learn the "Pirate in the Restaurant" song. In any case, the truth is new free credit report commercials address a very serious matter.
This is a matter that affects many Americans today. There is not that many stringent laws enforcing people who steal other people's credit card numbers, social security number, etc. This is actually a very serious issue that all people-especially when traveling-need to be aware of.
I have known people personally who have had their identity stolen. I have had mine stolen at one time or another as well.
So, what do you do about this very serious issue? For one shred all vital papers you no longer need, or find a safe place for them (i.e. a safe) if you need them for future use.
You should also be very careful to whom you give your personal information. This is especially important when you shop online. So, have a laugh or two at the very well-made free credit report commercial but also remember that it is a very serious matter.
For Those who Want to Repair Their Credit...
